Exchange v2026.2: Scaling Data Exchange Across Workflows

Exchange jobs can now be executed via the command line, making it easier to run repeatable workflows, schedule data transfers, and integrate Exchange into broader processing pipelines.

Expanded Seismic Data Exchange
Support for transferring 3D seismic volumes, horizons, and surveys from Petrel to OpenWorks extends Exchange further into seismic workflows, enabling more complete datasets to move between interpretation and data management environments.

Faster, More Efficient Bulk Editing
Expanded bulk editing capabilities across formations, log curves, and OpenWorks seismic data reduce manual effort when working with large datasets, while automatic output refresh provides immediate visibility of results.

RokDoc Integration
Support for RokDoc 2026.2 from Ikon Science extends well data exchange into petrophysical interpretation workflows, helping connect more of the subsurface application landscape.

Improved Remote and Linux Deployments
Enhancements to SSH connectivity and Linux installation simplify deployment and improve stability in remote and restricted environments.

Enhanced Records Management: Orders & Transmittals

Within dbMap’s Records Management functionality, a new workflow allows teams to manage information exchanges with far greater structure and visibility.

Users can create Orders to request items; asset managers can approve and fulfil those requests; and dbMap/Web automatically generates Transmittal documents to record the exchange. A full circulation history shows exactly when items were requested, approved, sent, and received.

Incoming Transmittals

dbMap/Web now supports Incoming Transmittals, enabling teams to capture and document items received from external partners or organisations. This ensures that inbound data is handled with the same control, consistency, and auditability as internal exchanges.

This enhancement helps maintain a complete and traceable record of all information entering the organisation, strengthening transparency and governance across projects and collaborations.

Edit Stored SQL Queries Directly in dbMap/Web

A new interface under Admin → Reference Tables → SQL Reports allows administrators to edit and create SQL reports and data-selection queries directly inside dbMap/Web.

This provides greater flexibility for tailoring reporting workflows without switching between applications and ensures that reporting logic can be managed centrally.

The V.2025.1 release also delivers upgrades to core platform components and third-party libraries, ensuring dbMap/Web continues to meet modern security and performance standards.
